BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – With just two weeks left until the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships, Southeastern Louisiana University’s track and field team will compete in the LSU Alumni Gold Meet Saturday at Bernie Moore Track beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The meet includes elite competitions such as LSU, Miami (Florida), University of New Mexico and Penn State.

“It’s going to be a high-level competition,” said SLU athletics head coach corey mistreta. “This will be the best challenge we’ve had all year for our athletes, so we’re looking forward to a strong performance as we prepare for the playoffs. I’m really excited to see how we handle this weekend. .”

After the matchup, SLU will begin final preparations for the Southland Outdoor Championships, which take place Friday, March 6-8 at Turner Stadium in Humble, TX.
