CHATTANOOGA – The Chattanooga Mocs softball team travels to Nashville on Wednesday, March 23 to take on the Lipscomb Bison at 5 p.m. EST. The game will be streamed for free on YouTube.

Emilie Coltharp leads the league and the Mocs with a .391 batting average this season. She recorded a hit in 21 of her 29 games and paced the team with 11 multi-hit games.
WOOD NAMED SOCON PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Hannah Wood was named Southern Conference pitcher of the week after going 2-0 with one save. She allowed just one run in 17.1 innings of work, which came with two outs in the final inning of the week. Wood struck out six, didn’t allow a walk, and allowed just 10 hits.
LAST 10 MATCHES
Chattanooga hit .281 in the last 10 games with 10 home runs and 12 doubles. The Mocs limited their opponents to just nine extra hits and an average of .254. In the circle, over the past two weeks the team holds a 2.95 ERA with Brooke Parrot and Hannah Wood holding a sub-two ERA.
A LOOK AT LIPSCOMB
The Bisons enter the midweek game 10-17, 1-2 in the Atlantic Sun after starting league competition last weekend against North Florida. Lipscomb is hitting .222 as a team with two players (Amy Vetula – .346 and Presley Leebrick – .325) hitting above .300. The Bisons have hit nine homers and 10 triples this season. In the circle, staff hold a 4.08 ERA and opposing teams hit .280 against them.
Lipscomb leads the all-time series 6-5.
